Our History
Herring Construction has been dedicated to expertise enhancement of technology in earthwork and site utilities for over 25 years. Incorporated in 1998, Herring Const. Inc’s predecessor was “Herring Mining & Excavating Co.” This was founded in 1976 by James Herring. The Company has grown from an annual volume of $35,000.00 to $1,500,000.00 in the past twenty-five(25) years. With Herring Inc’s demonstration of quality workmanship and the expertise of its personnel results have meant repeat business from many of our customers throughout the past twenty-five years.
Our dedication to enhance the expertise of Herring Inc through on-the-job training with other Corporations through “Teaming Agreements” and “Joint Ventures”, along with the use of new updated equipment have been significant factors in the establishment by Herring Inc. to have an unblemished reputation in the government. commercial, and residential markets.

I was the superintendent on the Loves project in Hopkinsville, Ky. Herring Construction started out of the gate strong and finished just as strong. We over came many obstacles in the course of the project from 49 rain days which included 53” of water to a very strict sanitary inspector. From day 1 Mike Herring is an owner with character and completes all he says he will. They have many very talented employees and in all are just good people.
